Position available with growing technology and government contracting firm. This position involves working with the ACC Military Flight Operational Quality Assurance (MFOQA)/Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) Program Manager for the execution of MFOQA and ASAP activities at HQ Air Combat Command (ACC). Interfacing with action officers and leadership across multiple organizations to include, but not limited to, operations, maintenance, communication, tactics, and finance. Developing system requirements for upgrading aircraft to enable MFOQA Analysis. Evaluating future weapon systems to determine suitability for conducting MFOQA analysis. Evaluate ASAP submissions in order to route the document to the appropriate office to address the submitters concerns.


  • Subject Matter Expert for F-16 or F-15 (C/D or E)
  • Utilize software to analyze flight data in relation to Routine Operational Measurements (ROMs) and Triggered Events (TEs); verify and validate aircraft specific measurement sets; generate flight operations trends and special studies; and detect hazardous conditions and risks
  • Assist ACC Program Manager to support ACC's MFOQA/ASAP programs
  • Advocate MFOQA/ASAP program goals, benefits, and proper uses within ACC and the USAF, including Air Force Safety Center's (AFSEC) Proactive Aviation Safety programs
  • Assist analysis team in developing, deploying, and sustaining processes that facilitate the collection, reporting, analysis, quality control, and visualization of MFOQA and ASAP data and transformation into actionable information for identifying, assessing, mitigating, and tracking operational hazards
  • Provide knowledge of aircraft operational environments, the missions flown, and the maneuvers performed during those missions
  • Interface regularly with analysis team, ACC MFOQA Steering Committee (or its equivalence), ACC staff, AFSEC staff, and F-15/F-16 units to identify areas of interest; generate analysis products; present emerging trends, hazards and risks; and disseminate (within and outside ACC) analysis results and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with ACC MFOQA/ASAP Program Manager to identify trends and deviations from standard procedures and parameters; identify corrective actions; coordinate implementation of corrective actions with ACC staff; and evaluate effectiveness of any corrective actions undertaken
  • Assist in the development, evaluation, monitoring, and compliance with MFOQA/ASAP regulations, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Generate informational articles, briefings, case studies, cost benefit analysis, marketing materials, and training materials to stakeholders and designated users at ACC and targeted bases on MFOQA and ASAP safety findings, corrective actions, program plans, goals, objectives, benefits, schedule, and the road ahead
  • Assist ACC Program Manager with the development of long-term funding needs and POM submittals
  • Support MFOQA/ASAP-related meetings, including MFOQA Program Management Reviews, meetings with Sister Services, Aircraft Information Working Groups, industry safety forums, and presentations to ACC, AFSEC, Air Staff and System Program Office (SPO) personnel
  • Participate in working groups and design reviews to ensure that MFOQA requirements are included in any proposed upgrades to flight recorders and other data acquisition systems


Technical Requirements:

  • Military aviation experience and extensive knowledge of aircraft operational environments, operating characteristics, standards, missions flown, and the maneuvers performed for military fighter aircraft
  • Proven ability to collaborate with all echelons, from headquarters staff to squadron operations and maintenance
  • Advanced computer operation experience including Excel and database applications


  • Bachelor degree or higher
  • 10 or more years of military flight experience as a fighter pilot
  • Knowledge of and experience with aviation safety programs, including FOQA, ASAP, LOSA, and Risk Management (RM) is preferred
  • Experienced fighter Instructor Pilot (IP) highly desired
  • Periodic travel required
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
