FT position available with growing technology and government contracting firm. The Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Level I-III maintains and updates qualification and certification programs. This person will maintain, develop and update procedures and written practice. This position deals in matters regarding NDT, including NDT program, procedures, inspections, inspection results and interpretation. We are looking for ASNT (or equivalent) Level I-III certified radiographers. Certifications in Radiographic Test (RT), Digital Radiography (DR), and Neutron Radiographic Testing (NR) will be considered.

Duties:                                                     

  • Preparation and qualification of NDT procedures and personnel.
  • Establishing NDT techniques, interpreting codes, standards, specifications, procedures, and designating NDT methods and techniques to be used.
  • Provide oversight of NDT contractor services.
  • Coordination with project management to ensure that code, contract, and regulatory requirements are properly translated into process control documents.
  • Review contracts to ensure compliance capabilities.
  • Documents and tracks the status of qualification and certification personnel.
  • General support of projects and liaison with engineering, quality assurance, production, and customer, as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Individual must possess ASNT certification
  • Capable of developing, qualifying, and approving NDT procedures, establishing and approving techniques, interpreting codes, standards, specifications, procedures, and designating NDT methods, techniques, methods, and procedures to be used.
  • Must possess a technical background and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Prefer a minimum of 10 years experience
  • Practical background in metal fabrication and products.
  • Must have the ability to translate code and customer requirements into procedural/process documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with various cultures and at all levels management.
  • Working knowledge of nuclear plant design, and engineering requirements, fabrication and related quality activities.
  • Experience in using software tools and applications developed in MS Excel and Access (advanced development skills preferred).
  • QA documentation experience is a plus 
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
