Position available with growing technology and government contracting firm. This person is responsible for working with the ACC MFOQA Program Manager for the execution of MFOQA in ACC to ensure that these programs meet ACC's requirements regarding the measurement and management of operational and safety hazards and trends. In addition, will work with state-of-the-art software and equipment hardware to perform flight data analysis of MQ-9 aircraft to enhance flight safety and improve mission efficiency. 


  • Subject-matter expert for MQ-9 or MQ-1
  • Utilize software to analyze flight data in relation to triggered events and routine operational measurements; verify and validate aircraft-specific measurement sets; generate flight operations trends and special studies; and detect hazardous conditions and risks
  • Advocate MFOQA program goals, benefits, and proper uses within ACC, ANG and the AF, including AFSEC's Proactive Aviation Safety
  • Assist analysis team with developing, deploying, and sustaining processes that facilitate the collection, reporting, analysis, quality control, and visualization of MFOQA and ASAP data, and transformation into actionable information for identifying, assessing, mitigating, and tracking operational hazards
  • Provide knowledge of aircraft operational environments, missions flown, and maneuvers performed during those missions
  • Interface regularly with analysis team, ACC MFOQA Steering Committee (or its equivalent), ACC staff, ANG staff, AFSEC staff, and MQ-9 units to identify areas of interest; generate analysis products; present emerging trends, hazards and risks; and disseminate (within and outside ACC) analysis results and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with ACC MFOQA Program Manager to identify trends and deviations from standard procedures and parameters; identify corrective actions; coordinate implementation of corrective actions with ACC staff; and evaluate effectiveness of any corrective actions undertaken
  • Assist with the development, evaluation, monitoring, and compliance with MFOQA regulations, policies, standards, and procedures
  • Generate informational articles, briefings, case studies, cost benefit analysis, marketing materials, and training materials to stakeholders and designated users at ACC and targeted bases regarding MFOQA safety findings, corrective actions, program plans, goals, objectives, benefits, schedule, and the road ahead
  • Assist ACC Program Manager with the development of long-term funding needs and POM submittals
  • Support MFOQA-related meetings, including software upgrade reviews, MFOQA program management reviews, meetings with sister services, Aircraft Information Working groups, industry safety forums, and presentations to air staff, ACC, ANG, AFSEC, and program office personnel
  • Participate in working groups and design reviews to ensure that MFOQA requirements are included in any proposed upgrades to flight recorders and other data acquisition systems 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 10+ years of military flight experience as a pilot, preferably RPAs
  • Technical requirements
  • Military aviation experience and extensive knowledge of aircraft operational environments, operating characteristics, standards, missions flown, and the maneuvers performed for military fighter aircraft
  • Proven ability to collaborate with all echelons, from headquarters staff to squadron operations and maintenance
  • Advanced computer operation experience, including Excel and database applications
  • Knowledge of and experience with aviation safety programs, including FOQA, ASAP, and LOSA, and operational risk management is preferred
  • Travel may be required
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
